Shawn Coleman, part owner of Llano Fire Management, Inc. is a graduate of
Texas Tech University with a degree in Range Management. During his time at
Texas Tech, Shawn was very active in the Range Department's prescribed burning program.

Shawn has been a seasonal firefighter for the U.S. Forest Service for over 10 years.
During this time, Shawn has fought fire in 22 states and Canada. These experiences
have given him a working knowledge of fire in many different ecosystems and provided
invaluable hands-on experience in fire behavior, fire fighting tactics, minimum impact
and wildland/urban interface mitigation.

During the last four years Shawn was employed by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department
and charged with Natural Resource Management for 12 State Parks across the High Plains,
Rolling Plains and Edwards Plateau region of Texas. During this time Shawn’s emphasis
was on prescribed fire and range management.

Shawn has spent over 600 days on wildland fire and conducted over 60 prescribed fires
ranging from 5 acres to 10,000 acres. He is Certified Burn Boss by the Texas Prescribed
Burning Board and holds several Federal Fire qualifications.

Employees of Llano Fire Management, Inc. have experience cooperating with several
government agencies including the Natural Resource Conservations Service (NRCS),
Bureau of Land Management (BLM), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFW), United State
Forest Service (USFS), Nature Conservancy, Texas Forest Service and local townships
throughout Texas. We are a registered Technical Service Provider with the NRCS.
